4:30am Alarm goes off in vancouver apartmeent but I am awake already. excited to get started
5:00am Susan drops me off at YVR. As we hug goodbye I get how great she is to support me to do this and how much I love her.
7:03am on the plane to Dallas. long waits at ticketing, customs and immigration. The US officials are so suspicious. It was a good thing Susan made me come early.
1:08pm Central time Arrive at Dallas Fort Worth. People actually wear cowboy hats
here. Kill the 90 minutes between flights by taking the monrail around the 6 different terminal buils\dings.
7:08pm Arrive Miami gate D49. The flight to La Paz leaves from gate D46. Two minute walk and I have 4 hours to spend.
11:20pm Full flight but I have an empty saet between me a young Bolivian man from Santa Cruz who gives me the low down on the politics of the country particularly how the people of Santa Cruz never got their fair share of government funding from La Paz, and now that they have the oil they want some autonomy for their province.
some turbulance as we got into the mountains but i got a couple of hours sleep
5:38am Arrive La Paz airport. temperature 1 celsius 33 farenhight. Bracing and refreshing. No problems with any paperwork - they hardly looked at it. Jamina was waiting and had a taxi ready to take us to the guest house.
What a day.
